For The Future Of The Valley
Vote Fowler-Lindgren
Vote Fowler-Lindgren. April 2, 2025.
Executive Statement from Presidential Candidate, Michael Fowler
Today, I’m proud to announce my candidacy for President of the Penn State Undergraduate Student Body.
Since arriving at Penn State in 2022, my love for this university has grown exponentially. Through my time in the UPUA, Lion Caucus, the Student Fee Board, and as a member of the student body, I’ve developed a passion and commitment to ensuring equitable access to affordable education, augmenting essential campus resources and basic needs, and fostering a strong and supportive community for any student lucky enough to call themselves a Penn Stater.
As President of the UPUA, I pledge to continue this advocacy to the administration and entities of the University by creating new student-facing resources to augment and alleviate student life, supporting all inherent identity groups within the student body, and serving as a strong voice of all 45,000 undergraduate students in supporting their needs. At Penn State, students have the opportunity and power to create tactical and policy-related change, and alongside Ben, I look forward to the opportunity to serve the student body in this capacity while ensuring higher education is accessible, and the community and resources built within this university are supportive of student success for all. Together, we can create a stronger Penn State, For the Future of the Valley.
Executive Statement from Vice Presidential Candidate, Ben Lindgren
It is an honor to announce that I am running for UPUA Undergraduate Student Body Vice President for the 2025-2026 academic year. As a part of a Penn State family, this university has always served as a second home for me. I will advocate for all students to feel at home here, focusing on accessibility, affordability, and equity. My time at Penn State working as the UPUA’s Sustainability Director, a former Lion’s Pantry Intern, a Student Farm Member, and a Resident Assistant has reflected a deep commitment to basic needs access, sustainable infrastructure, and local food availability. As your UPUA Vice President, I will advocate for students’ access to affordable resources, promote sustainable improvements in campus operations, and enhance the strength of our university’s diverse identity groups. I will also promote strong internal reform within the UPUA for greater transparency and accountability between members to build a culture of belonging. I look forward to supporting Mike as we build a student government for the future of the valley!
